New bridge soon to come
If you’re interested in old structures and photography, you may want to get your camera out to photograph the old deck truss bridge on Huron Terrace in Kincardine. The bridge will soon be torn down and replaced by a wider structure with a 13-foot (4-metre) sidewalk on the west side to allow for safer viewing of the lake and harbour area for pedestrians. Just like new
Lake Range Drive in Huron-Kinloss will be safer and nicer to drive on now that it’s pothole and cold-patch free. A fresh coat of asphalt runs from Concession 2 northward to Aintree Road, (Concession 12), where the “new extension,” begins. The extension, a $900,000 project was built in 2007 to alleviate traffic on Boiler Beach Road and keep residents safely moving along, with fewer distractions from beach-goers and pedestrians. Letters to the Editor
Your opinions are important to us. The H-K Observer welcomes your letters and would love to hear from you.

I am not sure if I am being realistic or unreasonable when I say that when (and if) the Bruce County Health Unit workers receive an increase in anything at all (benefits, wages, etc.), there should also be an increase in the level of work provided to the community. Simply said, they should deserve it. Read this letter and more letters by clicking here
I’m writing to express my disappointment in an event recently sponsored by 94.5 The Bull and the Kinsmen in the Teeswater area, where in our opinion, we were treated unfairly by a security personnel worker. Read this letter and more letters by clicking here
