Drug bust in Morris-Turnberry Township

A search warrant executed on November 7, 2008 in Huron County uncovered what police say was about $34,000 in drugs and resulted in two Harriston men facing charges.

Members of the OPP, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Section and the County of Wellington OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at 90279 London Road, Morris-Turnberry Township.

Constable Mark Cloes says the raid netted a large quantity of cannabis marihuana with an estimated street value of $34,200.

Kent Friesen, 27 and April Tone, 29, both from Harriston, were arrested and charged with one count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis Marihuana and one count of Possession of Cannabis Resin under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Friesen and Tone have been released on Promise to Appears and are scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on December 29, 2008 to answer to the charges.
