Toddler found in a backyard swimming pool Huron OPP were called to a residence in Goderich on July 13 at about 2:25 p.m. after it was discovered that a 2-year-old girl fell into the family pool. Residents at the location were in the pool earlier and got out of the pool to have some lunch, noticing that the little girl wasn't with her siblings. The resident went straight to the pool area and located the young girl floating face down in the pool. The girl was removed from the pool and CPR was initiated immediately as well as 911 was called. The paramedics arrived at the location, and at this point the little girl was conscious and breathing on her own. She was transported to Goderich Hospital and later airlifted to London Health Sciences for precautionary reasons. Police credit the quick thinking of the resident and a neighbour who assisted in resuscitating the young girl. |
