An important time for St. Luke’s (Submitted by members of St. Luke's) Greetings to the Friends of St. Luke’s Hello folks. As you may or may not know, St. Luke’s Anglican Church In
order that we may properly mark this very special time in our church life, Through out the year 2007, there are several plans already in the works with more to come over the next little while. For your information, the events decided on so far are: March 2, 2007 World Day of Prayer at St. Luke’s at 2:00 p.m. May 10, 2007 Deanery of the Saugeens ACW Spring Meeting at St. Luke’s June 24, 2007 Anniversary Gospel Sing Service at St. Luke’s July 1, 2007 on Canada Day, anniversary service at St. Luke’s at 3:00 p.m. and an anniversary dinner at the Point Clark Community Centre at 6:00 p.m. October 7, 2007, Anniversary Harvest Home Service at St. Luke’s October 28, 2007 SPECIAL NOTE: The Diocese of Huron is also celebrating We anticipate there will be further special events as the plan unfolds and we will keep you updated periodically with all of the dates and the nature of the event. To defray postal costs we would be happy to use your e-mail address and you can provide that to either Floyd or Eva listed below. A special commemorative 150th Anniversary Calendar is now ready for sale, with delivery expected in late November/early December. It is a classic black and white rendition of some historical information and pictures of the church and congregation over the years. They are available at $10.00 each, plus mailing costs if needed, and they can be ordered by calling Floyd at (519) 395-4769 or by e-mail at flucas@tnt21.com A ‘Book of Memories’ is also in the works and any memorable moments you have of St. Luke’s can be submitted to: Mrs. Eva Wilken, 953 James Street, Kincardine, ON, N2Z 2C3, or by e-mail at ewilken@tnt21.com. We plan to use some entries in our weekly bulletin for the enjoyment of all. You are welcome to join us for any of our services at any time or to purchase a calendar, or to send us your story of your memories.
